Books on Composition
« on: September 29, 2012, 11:50:42 AM »
I know I have not been around for awhile. Life has sort of unfolded without my permission and I have been distracted from composing somewhat. Not to mention that my hard drive crashed and that took some time to remedy. I hope I have not exhausted my privilege to post. I rely on self study and have worked through texts on harmony, counterpoint and orchestration, though I make no claim to have mastered any of them. But I have never found a good text devoted to composition and I was wondering if any members had any recommendations for such a text. Thanks.
