User Names

When you register with the forum, you can use any username you wish. However, I have to go through and approve every new account. Despite everything "junk" attempts are getting through. So, if you have a username of "wweuyjkb78" I will likely blow it away without a 2nd thought, especially if your email address is something like: "pornforfree@gmail."

Having said that, I do try to decipher names and check out ones I'm not sure of.

Might be a good thing to also post this on the old forum. I don't know how easily people who are trying to register on the new forum can see this information.
"Writing music to be revolutionary is like cooking to be famous: Music’s main function is not revolution. – Alan Belkin "

"Saying something new about something old is still saying something new. – Jamie Kowalski"

By changing the level of difficulty of the image of distorted text a person has to identify, all the bogus registrations seem to have disappeared. I didn't know that some programs are getting sophisticated enough to be able to read the simple graphic letters. If programs keep getting smarter, how will be then be able to tell the difference between a real person and a bot?

Better not try to differentiate based on the quality of the posting.    :)
