New Mentor
« on: March 03, 2019, 11:56:37 AM »
Well .....

I ask the Music Director (of my other orchestra) who is also a composer ... for mentoring.

It worked out well since he conducts a children's orchestra down the road a bit.

I met with him twice so far .... we did some touching up on my Canyon Vista.

Remarkably ... he mentioned he would like to conduct it.  Has to go through the board this summer though.

One of my gripes about a previous performance of my "Arcade" was that it was not rehearsed sufficiently or given due attention.

I don't think this - if it happens - will be the case with this Conductor.  It won't be an after thought but part of a program.

Any way ,,,, I hope my future work will show a bit more sophistication.  Time will tell.  So far so good.

Mark

I hope this works out for you. Good luck.

Mark,

Good for you!

It can pay to be humble when in need of help, and brave in asking for it.

Cheers,
Jer
