Hi Gillespie,

I gave up on trying to tame GPO5 strings and use GPO4 string samples instead. I do use the other GPO5 instruments. When I complained to MakeMusic about the behaviour of GPO5 strings that was their "solution."

Thanks, Ron.  I no longer feel alone.  I love the GPO5 Marcato, col legno, and sul tasto samples.  But their initial legato attacks are a deal breaker.

Well back in 2000 I tired demos for both Finale and Sibelius.  Sibelius seem to fit better for the way I think and work, thus I went with Sibelius.  I have been happy with it as it meets my modest needs.
