do you mean a bouncing bow?
or just extremely short staccatos?

if you want that bouncing bow staccato you indicate it as dotted notes with a slur.
and remember that spiccato is done with a down bow. if you slur two groups of notes, one after another, and have them all indicated as spiccato, be aware that the musicians will fit ALL of those staccato notes into a single bow stroke rather than the divided bow you've marked.
it can also only be done in certain tempos.
- too slow and you have to do a controlled off-the-string (the bounce won't be natural)
- too fast and the bow doesn't have time to fall back onto the string.

Suppose there are staccatos at a tempo that implies they be quite short.  Do we just indicate staccato and let the player pick the technique?  I definitely do not know when various bouncing techniques work best (or not at all) but want to give the player the option of using one if that's the easiest way to produce the short staccato.  I do not want to micro-manage the player.

Mark, if you are asking how to order Finale to play spiccato on the cello, I believe you'll need to use the Solo Cello 1 KS of the Garritan Orchestral Strings and place "Spiccato"  as technique text where you want it to start and "Normale" to terminate it.

my suggestion is to just write staccato dots and let the musician decide what type of staccato to use in the particular context.
