Hi all, I could use some feedback.

I have a very rhythmic section of music that is in changing (but repeating) meters. There is a background figure of constant repeated eighth notes (quavers) beamed according to the meter.

What I to find is some way of indicating a slight accent on the pulse in addition to the beaming. I feel that an accent mark - > - would be over-doing it.

OR, is the beaming enough?

For reference, this section of music is in 8-bar phrases of a repeating 4-bar metric pattern of 4/4, 7/8, 4/4, and 5/8 - with the 4/4 bars actually being 3+3+2/8. (12312312|1231212|12312312|12312)

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks,
-Flint.

Beaming should do it. Slurs from the first note of each group to the next can help as well.
